The inaugural Sarawak International Business Exhibition and Conference (SIBEC) 2018 is organised by the Sarawak Business Federation (SBF) and is supported and endorsed by the Sarawak State Government with the objectives to promote business and investment, to support the transformation of Sarawak’s digital economy and to showcase the promotion of Digital Technology in Sarawak.
SBF is the umbrella body representing all major chambers of commerce, trade associations and industry groups. Together, it’s members employ more than 80% of the state’s workforce contributing to 90% of the state’s private sector GDP. Federation members’ business industries cover Energy, Agriculture, Tourism, Technology, Trade and Investments, Commerce, Manufacturing and more. Sarawak is well positioned to introduce and offer several business industry initiatives in line with our government’s focus to leapfrog Sarawak into the Industrial Revolution 4.0.

It comprises of Exhibition and Conference focusing on strategic sectors that will develop Sarawak into a high income and developed state by 2030.
Sarawak covers an area of 125,000 sq. km., and is the largest of Malaysia’s 13 states. It is located in the heart of Southeast Asia, and is one of the two Malaysian states (the other being Sabah to the north) on the island of Borneo. We share this exotic and beautiful island with our neighbours Brunei and Kalimantan (Indonesia). Sarawak is known as ‘Bumi Kenyalang’ (in English, Land of the Hornbills). The Rhinoceros Hornbill is the official state bird of Sarawak and is featured on the State’s coat of arms.
