Dr. Zaidi Bin Razak
Sarawak Multimedia Authority

Dr. Zaidi Bin Razak, a computer science graduate from University Malaya, started his career with Celcom(M) Sdn Bhd as a programmer in the Billing Department. He later graduated with his Masters Degree completing a research in chip design. He then joined University Malaya, teaching a wide range of Computer Science subjects, ranging from the basics of programming to advanced computer architectures at master level as well as supervising master and PhD students. He was also involved in the planning, executing and monitoring of many research grants in the fields of artificial neural network, image and signal processing, chip design, and Internet of Things.
He then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Image Processing particularly in Jawi Character Recognition. In 2017, he changed his career course from academic and teaching to management and administration when he joined the Sarawak State Government and was tasked to plan, manage and monitor the needs of IT resources state-wide. He was the Chief of the Secretariat to the Sarawak’s Digital Economy Initiative and was also tasked with the establishment of the Sarawak Multimedia Authority. He currently serves as the General Manager of the Sarawak Multimedia Authority which oversees Sarawak’s digital economy initiatives.

Datu Haji Ismawi bin Haji Ismuni was appointed as CEO of the Regional Corridor Development Authority in January 2018 after a long and distinguished career as a public servant. He brings with him the experience of serving as Deputy State Secretary and Director of the State Planning Unit as well as time in the Chief Minister’s Department and the Ministry of Industrial Development, Sarawak. He is also a board member for various organisations, including the Bintulu Development Authority, as well as leadership roles in AZAM and the Sarawak Development Institute amongst others.
